SayCheese Return & Refund Policy

Because SayCheese products are personal care / oral hygiene items, we follow strict hygiene and safety standards while still supporting you if your experience isn’t what you hoped for.


1) Returns (30 days)

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after delivery to request a return.

Eligibility for a return

To be eligible for a return, your item must be:

  • Unused and unopened, with any seals intact
  • In its original packaging (including all components and inserts)
  • With proof of purchase (order number/receipt)

Hygiene & safety note: We cannot accept returns for items that have been opened, used, unsealed, or tampered with, including (but not limited to) whitening strips, gel pens, toothpaste tablets, mouth trays, LED devices that contact the mouth, or any oral-care product once opened.

How to start a return

To start a return, contact us at hello@getsaycheese.com with:

  • Your order number
  • The item(s) you want to return
  • Reason for return (optional but helpful)

If your return is accepted, we’ll send instructions on how and where to send your package (and, where applicable, a return label).

Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.


2) Return shipping

  • If the return is approved for reasons other than our error, return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility.
  • If the return is due to a confirmed defect, damage, or we shipped the wrong item, we’ll cover return shipping where appropriate.

Original shipping fees (if any) are non-refundable, except where required by law.


3) Damages, defects, or wrong item received

Please inspect your order upon delivery. If the item is defective, damaged, missing components, or incorrect, contact hello@getsaycheese.com as soon as possible (ideally within 48 hours) and include:

  • Your order number
  • Photos/video of the issue
  • Photos of the outer packaging and shipping label (if available)

If confirmed, we’ll make it right with a replacement, store credit, or refund, depending on the situation and inventory availability.


4) Exchanges

We don’t offer direct exchanges. The fastest way to get what you want is to:

  1. Request a return (if eligible), and
  2. Place a new order for the item you want.

5) Exceptions / non-returnable items

We do not accept returns for:

  • Opened, used, unsealed, or tampered oral-care/personal-care items
  • Gift cards
  • Final sale/clearance items (when marked at purchase)
  • Free gifts / promotional items (unless returned with the qualifying unopened product)

If a return is approved and a promotional free gift is not returned, we may deduct the value of the gift from the refund.


6) Our 30-Day Glow Guarantee (Confidence-first support)

Whitening is personal. If you follow the ritual and don’t feel more confident about your smile, contact us within 30 days of delivery and we’ll work with you to make it right. Your enamel, comfort, and confidence come first — always.

This guarantee is separate from physical returns (which are limited by hygiene rules).

How the Glow Guarantee works

Email hello@getsaycheese.com within 30 days of delivery with:

  • Your order number
  • What you used and how often (your “ritual”)
  • A quick description of what didn’t meet expectations (comfort, shade results, sensitivity concerns, etc.)

We may request:

  • Photos of the product / remaining contents
  • Optional before/after photos taken in similar lighting (helpful, not always required)

What “follow the ritual” means

Using the product as directed, including recommended frequency and instructions, and avoiding misuse (e.g., overuse or combining with conflicting products against directions).

What we may offer to “make it right”

After reviewing your request, we may offer (depending on your situation):

  • Personalized troubleshooting and routine recommendations
  • A replacement component (case-by-case)
  • Store credit (often the fastest resolution)
  • A refund to the original payment method (case-by-case)

Glow Guarantee Terms (Fair Use)

To keep it fair for everyone:

  • One guarantee claim per order: Limit one Glow Guarantee resolution per order (and we may also limit claims to one per customer/household where appropriate).
  • Authorized purchases only: Applies only to purchases made from getsaycheese.com (and any official SayCheese-authorized partners we list).
  • Request within 30 days: You must contact hello@getsaycheese.com within 30 days of delivery.
  • Proof of purchase required: Order number/receipt is required.
  • Results vary: Whitening results vary by person and staining type. This guarantee supports your experience and confidence, not a promise of a specific shade change.

7) Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return (if a return applies), and let you know if the refund was approved.

If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Banks and credit card companies may take additional time to post the refund.

If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your refund, please contact hello@getsaycheese.com.


8) European Union 14-day cooling-off period (EU customers)

If your order is shipped into the European Union, you may have the right to cancel/return within 14 days for any reason.

However, due to hygiene and consumer safety rules, sealed personal-care goods are not eligible for return once unsealed/opened. To qualify, items must be unused, unopened, and in original packaging, with proof of purchase.


9) Abuse, fraud, and policy protection

To the extent permitted by law, we reserve the right to deny or limit refunds, replacements, store credit, or guarantee claims in cases of suspected fraud, abuse, excessive claims, resale activity, tampering, or where we reasonably believe this policy is being misused (for example, repeated claims across multiple orders or inconsistent information provided during the claim process).

We’ll always aim to be fair, transparent, and human in how we review requests.
